Mural Mural on the Wall was founded in 1986 by Stacy Ridgeway, an art teacher living in Atlanta, GA. Stacy received a BFA in fine arts in 1980 and a MFA in 1995. In 1987, he was asked to paint a Mother Goose mural on a wall in the nursery where his two children, Stace and Stasia, attended school. Soon, other nurseries, daycares, and learning centers in the area followed suit. It was then Stacy realized his talent for painting murals should be shared with the world, and he began to embark on painting school mascots and logos on a grander scale.

Stacy saw great talent in his son Stace early in his life, and began grooming him from age 3. Stace watched his father painting murals and slowly but surely began learning the family business. During his adolescence, Stace helped his father paint when he had free time from getting a solid education and joined him full time after taking college courses and graduating high school.

Stacy Sr. pioneered the mural industry, with his son at his side, he refined that industry. To date, the Ridgeways have painted over 15,000 murals in more than 13 states. What they create is not just organized paint on a wall, but school pride, inspiration to learn and countless memories.
